I recently had an opportunity to interview Stanley Fishman about his fabulous new book Grassfed Barbecue. This book gives step by step instructions for successfully grilling grassfed meat so that it is really tender and delicious. I learned so much from reading this book — I realized I had been making so many mistakes in cooking grassfed meat — no wonder it was always tough and dry! CranApple Sauce: Sugar-Free, SCD/GAPS

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I am starting to think about what I can prepare ahead of time. On November 1st the Raw Milk Freedom Riders purchased raw milk in Pennsylvania ( a state that allows the sale of raw milk) and transported it to Maryland (a state that prohibits the sale of raw milk). This protest was in response to the investigation and allegations against Pennsylvania Amish farmer Daniel Allgyer in 2010 and 2011 and the infiltration of a Maryland buyer club by the FDA.

Week Four: The Challenge Part of the 28 Day Grain-Free Challenge

Here we are at the end of what may have been a long and challenging 28 days without grains. How do you feel? If you are intolerant of grains you are probably feeling better. Some people take longer than others to feel a difference. Some people will not feel any difference until they “challenge” their bodies with a significant portion of grains after having eliminated them for a month. This is the perfect time to do that.
