Sunday

Welcome to Sunday Snippets. This is a weekly feature that allows you to take a quick peek at posts that I loved from my FAT TUESDAY carnival this past week. I’ll also summarize some posts from my blog from the past week. If you missed some or didn’t have time to read the whole post this “snippet” will give you the gist of it.Here are some articles and recipes that I picked from FAT TUESDAY that really stood out for me. Each week I’ll be featuring some links from FAT TUESDAY so be sure to link up your best posts! If you are not a blogger, this is a place to connect with fascinating writings from all over the blogosphere!

This week we had so many wonderful selections it was really hard to choose… but here are a few of my favorites!

Sugar Free Cold Drink Ideas from Penniless Parenting. The weather is still hot at times and there are some great choices here!

Fudgy Macadamia Nut Brownies from Simply Living Healthy. Wow just the picture makes you want to take a bite!

Detox Baths by Yolks, Kefir and Gristle. This is a very informative article about how to remove toxins by taking baths. It has a lot of good information about what to put in the bath and what to do before and after the bath. And then you get to relax!

Sweet Potato Crackers (grain-free) by Coconut Mama. I just love her recipes! This is a great one for my Grain-Free Linky — I’ll have to ask her to post it there.

How I Accidentally rendered Some Chicken Schmaltz by Butter Believer. This post is hilarious as well as informative. It’s probably same way I figured out how to render the fat as well!

Roasted Banana Squash and Farmer Market Sass by Following My Nose. This post is also very funny and the recipe looks great. I am now on a mission to fine a banana squash. I did not find one at the Farmers’ Market this week but I will keep searching.

In addition, here are some posts from my blog this week that you may want to take a peek at…

Video: Grain-Free Roll Out Cookie Dough – This is a video demonstration for making these wonderful cookies with cookie cutters. My Favorite!

Video: Coconut Whipped Cream – This cream may be used for icing or filling and it is amazing!

Grains and Gluten: The New Offenders for Sure – This post challenges Michael Pollan’s statements about the problems with gluten.
