Recipe: Grain Free Strawberry Rhubarb Tart (Paleo, SCD, GAPS)

Grain Free Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, strawberry rhubarb



  1. Instructions for the Crust
  2. Preheat the oven to 325ºF and prepare the 10″ tart pan with a parchment paper liner that is greased with virgin coconut oil
  3. In a food processor mix together the eggs, honey, vanilla, ghee and palm shortening until smooth
  4. Add the salt, coconut flour and shredded coconut and process until a dough is formed
  5. Place the dough into the prepared tart pan
  6. Press the dough into the pan making the sides high and even and the bottom even
  7. Bake for approximately 18 – 21 minutes or until lightly browned (watch carefully that the sides do not get burned)
  8. Cool in the pan
  9. Store in refrigerator until ready to fill

  12. Putting it Together
  13. Let the crust come to room temperature
  14. Carefully remove the crust from the sides of the tart pan by separating the bottom from the sides
  15. Keep the crust on the bottom part of the pan for serving
  16. Place on your serving platter now
  17. Add the jam to the tart and carefully push it to the sides
  18. Smooth the top with an angled spatula
  19. Refrigerate and eat cold
