I am very excited to report to you that Real Food Forager is now a featured blog of Real Food Media, the first and only network of blogs dedicated to traditional food, sustainable farming, food politics, health & nutrition and green living. While my format will remain the same, you will start to see sponsor advertisements alongside my articles and recipes. Real Food Media only accepts sponsors that offer real food products with excellent quality.  I endorse these products and companies, because I use them on a daily basis and I encourage you to try their superior goods—just click on the ad and it will bring you to the sponsor website.

You will also see ads for classes that other featured bloggers in Real Food Media have created in order to teach people about real food and traditional cooking principles in the most cost effective and fun way available. I am a big fan of online learning for many reasons.

Why do the classes have a fee? Simply because it takes hours and hours of time to create these classes, much like it take hours to create a blog post or video post. The classes represent years of wisdom, gained the hard way. The classes are formulated so that you do not have to reinvent the wheel — the knowledge is presented to you in a simple and concise format so that you don’t lose any time. Additionally, you can save money by registering early and taking advantage of the discount. Starting today, you will see a small text ad at the bottom of my posts advertising the newest class being offered by Kelly the Kitchen Kop.

Shortly, I will also be publishing a newsletter which will have a separate SUBSCRIBE button and will go directly to your mail box. The newsletter will probably be published once a month and will feature news of interest that I did not write a post about, something that really ticked me off and/or other good tidings that I think you will enjoy. And just to make it FUN, I will be offering giveaways of great products if you subscribe to the newsletter and tell that you did so in a comment. I do hope you subscribe. This is going to be a BLAST! Below you will find the subscribe box for my newsletter. Sign up so you don’t miss out!

I hope you enjoy this aria sung by James Maddalena as Nixon in the opera “Nixon in China.” We recently saw this opera and I just love the music of John Adams. This fantastic aria shows Nixon to be totally self absorbed over the fact that he was the first westerner to go to China in over 100 years. He considers this big news! I would agree that his trip qualifies as big news—but so does my news! Let me know what you think!
