I was asked to sample some natural and organic products out on the market this year. I’ve been receiving products for the past few weeks and have had an opportunity to use them. I want to share the ones I love with you!
Fresh Wave is a company I am truly excited about. Why? Because, as you may know, I have sensitivities to chemicals and certain odors. This makes it very difficult to tolerate anything that has a strong smell, including most essential oils and certainly almost all conventional cleaning products.
They sent me three of their products: Odor Removing Gel, Odor Removing Spray, and Laundry Booster. Wow! How did they know I needed all three?
The Odor Removing Gel is a perfect solution to counteract the damp smell I sometimes get in my foyer. I am embarrassed when people come into my house and can smell this odor. Since I cannot use use most essential oils, and I do not want something constantly in there, this gel bottle is perfect. I can put it out when I need it and save it for another day when I am done with it.
The Odor Removing Spray is perfect for a bathroom in place of disgusting and toxic lysol (which I would never use).
The Laundry Booster is also perfect for my smelly front loader! How did they know? I am constantly disgusted with the residual smell in my front loader. I keep the door open but even this does not solve the problem. I wiped the seal with the Laundry Booster and used some in a load of laundry and the musty smell is gone!
Importantly, I can tolerate the combination of essential oils they use in these formulas as they are pleasant and mild.
This one is a winner! No harsh chemicals. No heavy perfumes. No toxic ingredients. Which results in no more odor. Fresh Wave natural odor removing products use simple, pure, and natural ingredients – a blend of plant extracts and water – to remove odors.

Speaking of essential oils, there is a company I do trust and use: Plant Therapy. I love that they are not a multi-marketing company and the oils are pure. They also have many organic oils.
They sent me a set of 3 oils: lavender, peppermint and lemon. These happen to be oils that I do tolerate – except the lavender (sadly). But I do use the lemon and peppermint in DIY products for people in my house and they love them!
I also love some of the combination oils and specifically the ones made especially for kids. You can feel secure in knowing that these oils are safe for your children.
Next I was sent a Cold and Flu Survival Kit from Boiron USA. I’ve used the Boiron brand many times and I have recommended it to my patients. The Boiron brand is well known for the quality and efficacy of their products.
And just in time! My niece called me because her two young children (2 and 4 years old) had just come down with a cough and cold that was going around. I rushed these products to her house and she immediately used the Coldcalm and Chestal Cough homeopathic medicine.
She was so happy to use something safe and non-toxic – something that actually worked quite well for the cough and cold symptoms.
Homeopathic medicine is the best for young families. It works with the immune system to strengthen it – not just to put a bandaid on symptoms –which is what conventional medicine does.
Homeopathic remedies are safe and work wonderfully without any fear of side effects or after effects like you get with conventional medications.
The best homeopathic medicine for the flu is Oscillococcinum, which I have used in the past with great success!
What a great package I received from Organic Valley! They just came out with these 6 ounce containers of 100% grassfed yogurt! How perfect is that?
Most of the time I stay dairy free because of an allergy to dairy, but there are times when I indulge. This was one of those times.
The yogurt is made from whole milk that is from 100% grassfed cows. Wow! Even the plain yogurt is thick and creamy! The fruit just adds some awesome flavor that I’m sure your kids will love. It is rich in active probiotic strains, acidophillus, bifidus and l. casei.
This is probably the highest quality commercially made yogurt out on the market today. Short of making your own yogurt from raw milk from a biodynamic farmer, this is your best choice.
The milk is from small family dairy farms all over the country – from cows that are treated humanely and raised as they should be – on pasture. Oh, and it’s organic.
I also received product from Megafood, a whole food supplement company. The ingredients are derived from food – some of which is organic when possible.
I didn’t have a chance to try the Balanced B Complex, Blood Builder or the Tumeric Strength for Whole Body, but they seem to be good supplements: non-GMO verified, vegetarian, vegan, soy and dairy free, etc.
If you are interested in whole food supplements as opposed to natural or synthetic extracts, you might consider this company.

I received a sample of laundry powder from Molly’s Suds, a wonderful company that gets an “A” from EWG.org! With that kind of backing I was eager to try it. The powder is phthalate and fragrance free with a small amount of wild crafted organic peppermint oil that gives it a bit of freshness.
I’m sensitive to chemicals but this mild scent was just fine.
The laundry powder is super concentrated and safe for the planet and it did seem to wash the clothes very well! They have some other products – I also tried the dryer ball and it sure helps keep static down, especially in the winter!
I love this company!
