June has been such a busy month you may have missed some fantastic posts on the internet. There have been so many interesting posts that I just keep bookmarking them and my list grows longer and longer. Here is a more organized way to see them.
Health Improvement
Fearless Eating tells us about how to stop sugar cravings, and about the ridiculous ruling in New York City about the butter ban. Can you believe that? Banning butter? What will the mayor do next?
There is also information from HomespunRR about natural treatment for uti (urinary tract infections).
For health improvement we have to read WholeGreenLove’s posts about the benefits of bone broth and the health benefits of grassfed butter.
Rubies & Radishes advises us how to get better sleep, which is so important to health. Green Boot Living tells us about the health benefits of juicing. I really do want to get back into juicing.
Cheeseslave tells us which activities burn the most calories with a fabulous chart!
Homemade Personal Products
The Nourished Life shows us how to use a raw honey facial mask — I love this, don’t you? Empowered Sustenance talks about the no poo method of shampooing. Is it good or bad for your hair?
Homemade toothpaste is another popular personal care item from Optimal Health.
Homemade mommy shows us how to make non-toxic bug repellent. That’s a good thing to know because commercial bug repellent is so full of chemicals.
Simple Clean Living shows us how to make homemade laundry detergent, which can certainly save money as well as citrus infused vinegar for cleaning. I use vinegar all the time to clean, but I do not like the smell. Maybe this one will be better.
Recipes
O’Lardy show us how to brine a chicken before roasting it. I always brine my pastured chicken — it helps keep it moist and juicy.
I did like these vegetable noodles from Savory Lotus — a great grain free option. And I loved these top 10 grain free breads from Healy Real Food Vegetarian.
Low Carb One Day had these flourless paleo brownies that I thought looked really good!
There are lots more and I could go on forever! July is another month!
