July 4th Real Food Extravaganza

July 4th Real Food Extravaganza post image

Even though summer has just started, the July 4th holiday always makes me a little sad because summer goes so quickly afterwards. This year it is very strange having the holiday in the middle of the week. Who can celebrate properly without a long weekend? There is only one thing to do — let’s eat!

Here are some of my favorite real food party recipes from around the blogosphere. I hope you try some on your friends and family!

It’ll be steak, burgers, and free-range beef hot dogs at our house – nothing terribly creative.

I will be making our own condiments, however, and I’ve just posted recipes for real food versions of Heinz ketchup, French’s mustard, barbecue sauce, sweet pickle relish, and a gourmet mayonnaise on my blog.
