I’ve had many cuts of grassfed steaks from several farmers and suppliers. I have to say that the rib eye and the flat iron steaks that I received from Bos Creek were of the highest quality. Actually, I don’t remember when I had such a tender, delicious steak. Even the chopped meat was of a very high quality with just enough fat and no grizzle.
Grassfed and grass finished beef has a very good fatty acid profile – better than pastured chickens or turkey as these animals are supplemented with grains.
Grass fed beef is a good source of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which is a very healthy fat that protects against many kinds of cancers. Additionally, vitamin E levels are up to four times higher in grass fed beef.
Grass fed beef is up to six times higher in Omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for heart health and reduce the risk of arthritis, obesity, insulin resistance, allergies and autoimmune diseases. While omega 3 fats are higher, saturated fats are lower and thus there are about 100 calories less per serving than grain fed beef.
If you did not win, you may purchase a box of grassfed beef here. You can order a variety of premium grassfed meat in selected boxes, or you can build our own box of meat.

I love my farmer and other grassfed meat suppliers but I’m not against trying other sources of meat for variety.
