Each year the Weston Price Foundation hosts a conference in mid November. This year it is being held in Indianapolis Indiana. November 7th, 8th and 9th. This conference surpasses any nutrition conference I have ever attended. The multitude of lectures gives one so many choices it is hard to decide. But the best part is the food! You will be nourished like never before.

The first conference I attended was still in Washington D.C. before it became too large for the venue. I decided to attend as I was first getting introduced to the Weston Price Foundation. I noticed that Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride was speaking and I had just read Gut and Psychology Syndrome and was very excited about the book.

I went alone, but at the very first lecture I met someone and we became fast friends. She was studying the menu. I didn’t even realize that they provided all the meals as I never went to a conference that did so. I didn’t think anything of it.

I was beyond surprised at the incredible array of foods in the very first lunch on Friday. After that I also studied each meal on the menu with great anticipation. Then I found out that all the food was donated by sponsors, the very people who were in the vendor hall.

The vendor hall was like nothing I had ever seen. In other nutrition conferences I have attended, the vendor hall is full of supplement companies. Each selling vitamin, mineral or herbal supplements.

In this huge vendor hall there were vendors selling food! That’s right, food! That’s when I knew that I had come home. My gut told me it felt right, it was a good fit. Not just the food part and the incredible meals. The whole design of the conference — the expectation to teach — the people there willing to radically change their lifestyles. The purpose to change the way we think about diet and food.

There is a good mix of dedicated professionals, dedicated farmers and health conscious individuals – all with the same goal – to improve their health and to improve the food supply with correct nutrition. We all learn from each other – we are all on the same page.

Check out the video from a previous year! What fun we had!

Each person has their own experience of a conference like this. For some it is a game changer. It could be for you. If I had to choose between a Carribean vacation and the Wise Traditions Conference I would choose the conference. Take a look at the schedule of events and tell me you wouldn’t too.

Issues of nutrition, digestion and metabolism are complicated and very individual.

If you cannot attend this conference you might consider listening in on the FREE online event called the Digestive Sessions. Many of the speakers have an ancestral health, Weston Price Foundation and/or functional medicine  background.

I highly recommend registering for it. It starts November 9 and goes through November 23. That gives you plenty of time to listen in,
